In the first quarter of 2023 we will be installing 1,748 solar panels on Preston’s roof, an investment of £600k. This should provide a payback of 4 years. This demonstrates our ongoing commitment to reducing our carbon footprint as we produce sustainable packaging solutions.

There have been further investments at Preston in the last year as part of Board24’s growth strategy.

The construction of a new 50,000 m2 warehouse has been completed in Preston which will allow for an increase in stock flow. The Preston site will be able to continue to grow and meet customer demands as part of its growth strategy.

Material handling line installation will be crucial to the site’s continued success. This will reduce downtime because the lines won’t be as full, increasing capacity by 12 million square meters a year, allowing the site to maximize its capacity and efficiency.

Refurbishment helped modernize the offices and make the space more practical. The refurbishment was primarily intended to make the space useful for senior meetings across Board24, as well as helping facilitate training on site.
